The Turtees T10 Wearable Breast Pump is designed to fit inside your bra for hands-free, discreet pumping throughout your day. Whether you're returning to work, building a milk supply, or looking for a more comfortable alternative to traditional pumps, this guide walks you through everything — from setup to cleaning to getting the most from each session.
What's in the Box
• T10 pump unit x1 (or x2 for double kit)
• Flange cups (multiple sizes included)
• Charging cable (Magnetic)
• User manual
Before Your First Use
Wash all parts that come into contact with milk in warm soapy water before first use. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry on a clean surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or put plastic parts in boiling water.
Charge the pump to full before the first session. A full charge typically lasts 3–5 pumping sessions depending on mode and duration.
Choosing the Right Flange Size
Flange fit is the single most important factor for comfort and effective milk output. The flange should fit snugly around your nipple — your nipple should move freely in the tunnel without rubbing the sides. If you experience nipple pain, redness, or low output, try a different size.
The T10 comes with multiple flange options. If you are unsure which size is right, consult a lactation consultant or refer to the sizing guide in the box.
Setting Up for a Pumping Session
Step 1: Assemble the pump unit, flange cup, and collection bottle according to the guide. Step 2: Place the assembled pump into your bra, positioning the flange correctly over your nipple. Step 3: Power on by pressing the main button. Step 4: Start on massage mode (simulates a baby's initial fast sucking) to trigger letdown, then switch to expression mode for milk collection. Step 5: Adjust suction level to the highest comfortable setting — more suction is not always better.
Using the Heat Therapy Function
The T10's heat assist feature warms the pump cup gently before and during a session. Warmth helps relax breast tissue and encourages faster letdown. Activate by pressing the heat button before you begin pumping. The heat is gentle and designed for continuous use — it will not cause discomfort or affect milk quality.
How Long Should Each Session Be?
Most mums pump for 15–20 minutes per breast, or until the flow slows significantly. Pumping longer than 30 minutes is generally not necessary and can cause nipple fatigue. For maximum output, aim for 8–10 total pump/feed sessions per 24 hours in the first 8–12 weeks.
Cleaning After Every Session
Rinse all milk-contact parts with cold water first (warm water sets milk proteins), then wash in warm soapy water. Allow to air dry — not in a drawer or bag. The pump unit itself (the motor) should be wiped with a damp cloth only — never submerged in water.
For deep cleaning, sterilize the flanges and bottles in a steam sterilizer or microwave sterilizer bag once per day.
Troubleshooting
• Low output: Check flange fit, ensure letdown has occurred, stay hydrated
• Discomfort: Lower suction level, check flange sizing, ensure correct positioning
• Pump not turning on: Charge fully, check connections
• Milk leaking into motor: Reassemble all parts and ensure bottle is locked correctly
